Road Haulage Exit Incentives 2026

The National Register of Road Hauliers has published the official call for applications concerning the 2026 exit incentives, together with the documentation required to submit applications.

This measure is aimed at the rationalisation of the road haulage market and the reorganisation of the sector’s overall transport capacity, through financial support for operators who voluntarily cease their activity.

Who is eligible

The incentive is intended for single-vehicle operators engaged in the carriage of goods for hire or reward who decide to cease their activity. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• the operator must be at least 45 years old
• the activity must be carried out with a single vehicle with a mass equal to or greater than 3.5 tonnes
• the company must be registered in the Companies Register or in the Register of Craft Enterprises
• the company must have been registered for at least 5 years in the National Register of Road Hauliers and in the REN (Electronic National Register)
• the registered office (primary or secondary) must be located within the national territory

Amount of the contribution

The incentive amounts to €15,000 for each eligible operator.
The total resources allocated for 2026 amount to €2,000,000.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted by 25 May 2026.
Applications must be sent via certified email (PEC) to: albo.autotrasporto-incentivi@pec.mit.gov.it

The following documents must be attached:

• the application form provided in the call
• the “Deggendorf” self-declaration
• a copy of a valid identity document

The documentation must be digitally signed or signed with a handwritten signature.

Ranking

The list of admitted companies will be published on the National Register of Road Hauliers portal.
