Road haulage exit incentives: a further 29 companies join the scheme
You have until 9 October 2026 to be removed from the Register and the REN
The Italian National Register of Road Hauliers (Albo nazionale degli autotrasportatori) has increased the funding allocated to the voluntary exit incentives and updated the ranking list published in August. A further 29 companies previously left out are now included, and for these a firm deadline applies: 9 October 2026, thirty days from the publication of the decree of 9 September.
This is a mandatory deadline: newly admitted companies that fail to act by that date will lose the contribution.
Companies concerned
The decree of 9 September extends the benefit to companies ranked:
- from position 137 to position 163 in the ranking list: 27 companies, admitted thanks to an additional EUR 405,000 that brings the total allocation from EUR 2 million to approximately EUR 2.4 million;
- at positions 135 and 136, replacing two companies that formally waived the contribution.
The decree and the updated ranking list are available on the portal of the Albo nazionale degli autotrasportatori, under the news item dated 9 September 2026.
Key steps from April to date
- 25 May 2026: deadline for the submission of applications.
- 6 August 2026: approval of the ranking list of admitted and eligible companies.
- 26 August 2026: correction of a clerical error, first reallocation of positions and publication of a notice clarifying the 6 September deadline.
- 9 September 2026: further reallocation of positions, additional funding and inclusion of the 29 companies.
Requirements to be met by 9 October
For the newly admitted companies the procedure is the one already clarified by the Central Committee in August, and consists of two steps:
- Sending the formal request for removal from the Albo nazionale degli autotrasportatori and from the REN (National Electronic Register) by certified email (PEC) to the competent local Motor Vehicle Office (Ufficio Motorizzazione Civile).
- Sending a copy of the same PEC, for information, to the Central Committee at:
albo.autotrasporto-incentivi@pec.mit.gov.it
Both communications must be sent within the deadline.
No extensions will be granted.
Important
Sending the PEC proves that the deadline has been met, but it does not mean that removal from the register has taken place.
It is the Central Committee that completes the procedure and verifies that the requirements are satisfied. Only once these checks are concluded is the ranking list finalised and the contribution paid out. In short: the PEC protects the company as regards the deadline, while the application remains under review for some time yet.
Companies already on the August ranking list
For companies admitted under the ranking list published in early August, the deadline was 6 September and has therefore already expired. Companies that submitted their request in time are now awaiting the checks carried out by the administration, which precede the payment of the EUR 15,000.
